The South River East Brunswick Rotary Club was initially organized on April 6, 1930 as the South River Rotary Club. On July 18, 1967, the club was re-chartered as the South River/East Brunswick Rotary Club. We are a community organization committed to building goodwill in our local and world communities for understanding and compassion toward the needs of others.

The Club sponsors an Annual Golf Outing to raise funds, which are directed toward various programs for the youth in our community including:

Our Gift of Life Dinner raised $40,000 to be used to provide surgery for children with congenital heart defects. Over the last 10 years the Club has brought five children to the United States from foreign countries for corrective heart surgeries.

We also honor our Senior Citizens and recently donated a Wii system to the Chelsea Assisted Living Center.

Over the holidays the Club provides food baskets and gifts for families in need. We collect and donate toys for children in the local hospitals. And annually we participate in the Driven to Read program and distribute books to the children’s ward at the local hospital.

Each May, the Club organizes a Career Day at the local Junior High School and brings in business people from many different professions to speak to the students and expose them to career options.
